The Arrogant Tiger

Once, there was an animal academy in a fertile realm. There is an animal that is a tiger who is good at drawing. However, because his intelligence made him arrogant and greedy, he did not want any other animal to be better than him at drawing.

One day, the academy held a practice drawing exam. The tiger was very enthusiastic about the test. “I will be the best in this drawing exam. That's me, the king of drawing," said the Tiger arrogantly.

The drawing exam began, while other animals such as elephants, monkeys, snakes, and crocodiles are still doing the test, the Tiger is done. The Tiger was very tired of waiting for the other animals to finish, he went around the exam room to see pictures of other animals, and laughed in his heart because he thought the pictures of other animals were very bad.

After that, the Tiger was surprised, when he saw the Eagle's drawing result which very good. The Eagle is also good at drawing because he often flies around nature which made his imagination wide, the tiger was afraid that the eagle will be the best.

Then, the Tiger rushed to take his empty drinking bottle and went to the toilet to get water so that he could deliberately fall near the Eagle and the water soaked the Eagle's drawing paper. However, the Eagle already knew the evil plan of the Tiger. The eagle exchanged the tiger drawing paper with him. The tiger came back and spilled water on his paper.

The Tiger was surprised that what he spilled was the paper he drew. The exam time has run out, the tiger failed the exam because he didn't submit his work on time. He deeply regretted his arrogance.

Beat Talent with Hard Work

Athar is a diligent boy, he studied at SMK Gotham 2 majoring in Animation. Actually, he has no talent in Art or Animation, but he has a huge passion, he wants to be an animator in a Hollywood movie someday.

During Athar's first year of school, Athar was not confident, his classmates had great abilities. Some are great at creating 3D animation, motion graphics, or digital drawing.

However, Athar did not want to give up so easily. Precisely because of his great friends, he could learn a lot from his friends. Athar continued to learn again and again, even he was willing to spend his free time to continue learning. "I will not give up in reaching my dream, I have to keep trying", Athar promised.

In his third year at school, Athar became one of the students with above average animation skills, he is even greater than some of his friends who had animation skills since the first year. Several teachers and students were surprised by Athar's ability and praised Athar's hard work while at school.

In the end, Athar's efforts and hard work were not in vain. Three years after graduating from school, he became an animator of famous Hollywood movies. Athar has achieved his dream and is very grateful for his achievement. Athar's story reminds of a saying, "Beat talent with hard work".

Skyler and her Job

In a big city, there lived a woman named Skyler. Skyler worked as a video editor on a YouTube channel. She had worked as a video editor for 3 years. So, she is very proficient in video editing. But sometimes she also feels bored.

At that time, the owner of the YouTube channel, Gustavo or Skyler’s boss, was opening an internship program as a video editor. Many people are interested in the program, especially vocational high school students who are required to take part in the internship program. A student from SMK Harapan, namely Wawan, was accepted as an intern video editor where Skyler worked.

Then, because of Wawan's entry, Skyler felt that she was a senior in her place, so she handed over her job to Wawan who she considered a junior, making Wawan's work more. Wawan was supposed to work 6 hours a day, but got 9 hours because he did Skyler's work too. Meanwhile, Skyler is getting more sleep in the office.

One day Gustavo came to the office, he felt strange because he saw Wawan looked very tired, there was also no Skyler in the editing room. Gustavo searched all the rooms in the office. He was shocked when he saw Skyler sleeping in the hammock in the backyard. Gustavo is angry, he punished Skyer to work 10 hours a day in a week and returned Wawan's working hours to normal.

Skyler is so sorry for what she did, she now has to work longer hours in a week. However, she is also grateful that her boss didn't fire her. That could make her have to look for another job that is not necessarily good for her.

Careless

A long time ago around the 17th century there lived a boy named Riky, Riky lived with his family in a thatched roof house near the forest. Riky is a careless boy who likes to rebel with his parents. He was resentful of living as a poor child.

One afternoon, Riky went for a walk in the forest. He finds a mysterious door on which is written "2022: come back before 7 pm". Riky was very curious and opened the mysterious door. He was shocked when he entered through the door, he was like entering a room, he came out of the room and was like in a future city.

Riky was fascinated by things that did not exist in his time, not to mention sophisticated games such as console games and virtual reality. There he met a boy named Bayu who invited him to play PlayStation in the rental. Riky is very happy in his new place. When it was getting late, Bayu went home, but Riky was still busy playing PlayStation, even though he remembered the warning on the mysterious door to come back at 7 pm. But he ignored it.

When it's 9 pm, the rental closed and Riky intends to return to the mysterious door to go home. When he returns, Riky was surprised because there is no longer a mysterious door there. Riky searched every corner of the room, but couldn't find the door.

Riky could not go back to his house anymore. He lived a difficult life in 2022 because he did not have his parents and did not understand new things there. Riky is very sorry for his carelessness, he really missed his parents.

Bear and Two Friends

Once there were two good friends named Ron and John, who decided to travel and see the world together.

One day they decided to go to the forest. The forest was so dense that they knew anything dangerous could happen to them at any time. So they promised each other that they would remain united in any case of danger. Suddenly, they heard a loud growling sound and they saw a large bear approaching them. They got very scared.

Ron quickly ran at once and climbed a nearby tree leaving John behind. John did not know how to climb the tree, he asked "Ron, can you help me climb the tree? the bear will eat me up. Help me please", "I cannot come down the bear is approaching and there's no place up here, go and find a place for yourself to hide."

Ron did not help John but John was a smart boy, in school he had heard a teacher saying that the bear doesn't eat dead creatures. Now, led by his common sense, he laid down flat on the ground breathless, pretending to be a dead man. The bear came near the man lying on the ground. It smelt in his ears and slowly left the place. Because bears do not touch dead creatures

After the bear went away, the friend on the tree came down and asked his friend John "What did the bear whisper into your ear?" "The bear advised me not to believe a false friend, who leaves you in time of danger."

Friend In Need's A Friend Indeed

One day, an Elephant wandered into a jungle in search of friends.

He saw a Monkey on a tree. The Elephant said, "Will you be my friend?" "Monkey replied, "You are too big, you can't swing from trees like me." Next day he met a Rabbit "Will you be my friend?" "You are too big, you can't play in my burrow." Then he went to Frog, "Please make friendship with me!" "How is it possible? you are too big, you can't leap about like me. The Elephant was upset, a Fox appeared, he asked her, "Will you be happy to have a friend like me? Fox said, Sorry, Sir you are too big.

The next day, the Elephant saw all the animals were running for their lives, Elephant asks the Fox, "What is the matter?" Fox replied, "There is a Lion and he is trying to kill all of us." All the animals were running away to hide. Meanwhile, the Lion kept eating up whoever he could find. The Elephant went to the Lion and said, "Please Mr. lion, don't eat up all these poor animals" Lion replied, "Mind your own business" The elephant had no choice, but to give the lion a hefty kick. The frightened lion ran for his life.

The Elephant ambled back into the jungle and announced the good news to all. All the animals thanked him and said, "You are just the right size to be our friend." 

The Crocodile and The Monkey

Once upon a time in the middle of the forest, there was a river. In that river, there lived an Old Crocodile. He was not able to hunt anymore because he was weak.

One day he was hungry, "Oh it is very difficult to hunt on land now. Then he sat under a tree. A Monkey saw the Crocodile and asked "Why are you so sad Crocodile? take some apples. They are very tasty." "Thank you dear Monkey. Can you please give me these apples every day?" "Okay Crocodile." and the Monkey gave the Crocodile some apples and the Crocodile eat the apples every day.

One day he thought to eat the Monkey heart. So he thought an idea. He asked the Monkey "My friend wants to meet you." The Monkey was happy and said, "Yes, I will be very happy to meet him." He sat on the Crocodile's back but when they were in the center of the river, he told the Monkey "I want to eat your heart and now I will eat your heart." The monkey thought of a plan. He said to the Crocodile, "Crocodile, but I forgot my heart on the tree." So the Crocodile said, "Go and take your heart and give it to me."

The monkey said "What a foolish Crocodile you are. How you can take the heart from the body. And I gave you so sweet apples but now I will never give you those apples now. You are not my friend. The Crocodile was very hungry and realized his mistake.

The Greedy Mouse

A greedy mouse saw a basket full of corn. He wanted to eat it. So he made a small hole in the basket. He squeezed in through the hole. He ate a lot of corn. He felt full and was very happy.

Now he wanted to come out. He tried to come out through the small hole. He could not. His belly was full. He tried again. But it was of no use. The mouse started crying. A rabbit was passing by. It heard the mouse’s cry and asked, “Why are you crying, my friend?” The mouse explained, “I made a small hole and came into the basket to eat the corn. Now I am not able to get out through that hole.” The rabbit said, “It is because you ate too much. Wait till your belly shrinks.” The rabbit laughed and went away. The mouse fell asleep in the basket.

The next morning his belly had shrunk. But he wanted to eat some more corn. He forgot all about getting out of the basket. So he ate the corn and his belly was really big again. After eating, the mouse remembered that he had to escape. But obviously, he could not. So he thought, “Oh! Now I will go out tomorrow.”

The cat was the next passerby. He smelt the mouse in the basket. He lifted its lid and ate the mouse.
